What A Wonderful Year

A year ago today I became the girlfriend of Mr. James Rock. And let me tell you, it has been Quite the year!!! It has been one of the best of my life.  We started hanging out in January of 2010 after not seeing each other for a couple of months.  We first hung out in a large group but something started to change.  I started to fall for this goofy kid.  Unfortunately, feelings weren't returned...yet.  But this was all about to change!  After a quick weekend trip down to utah, James discovered the most interesting thing.  He MISSED me!  Well after a nice awkward encounter with a former missionary from his area he decided he no longer wanted me to be known as his "friend".  So I became known as the GF.
We have had many adventures together since then; countless trips to utah and boise, 2 to vegas, 2 to california, lake powell, yellowstone, jackson hole/teton national park and bear lake.  We became engaged in October and then married in November.  I absolutely adore my best friend and look forward to our many escapades to come!  I love you James Rock, thank you for being mine.

My Oh My

Well it has been awhile since I've posted and a lot has happened.  Lets rewind.

December 2010
We had our reception in Boise and oh my goodness it was beautiful!  I have the BEST in-laws i could ever ask for! I got to meet so many people who know and LOVE my wonderful husband.  And one of the best parts was when our nephew Landon was dancing like a maniac! He even had a dance battle against Graham (James' friend who introduced us).  It was epic.
After the reception we made our way back to Rexburg to go Job hunting.  We couldn't afford to waste anytime! Well, on our way home our car BROKE DOWN!!!! (well it was my car).  With all of our gifts in the pitch black we had to wait in our car in the chilly weather until the tow truck came.  Let's just say we made our first visit to American Falls, Idaho.  But i think i'm gonna change the subject now because I don't want to think about that story anymore!
Luckily the next day I got a phone call from Biomat USA, a local plasma center located off of Main Street.  I was THRILLED! And had an interview the next day.  We'll just cut to the chase, they offered me a job the next day as a PHLEBOTOMIST, which those of you who know me, know that i HATE needles! BUT this job was an answer to our prayers and I was not about to pass up such a great opportunity, even though it was one of my biggest fears!
Our first Christmas was spent in Boise with the Rocks (well the other Rocks).  It was so much fun and i really enjoyed it.  James' parents were so generous and bought us a tv.  Unfortunately we waited until we got home to open it and try it out. Well, to make a long story short there was some input lag and audio/video lag that is apparently common in the model of tv, well the tv was purchased at a Costco, which the closest one to us is in Pocatello (an hour away).  Well when we get there to take the tv back we soon realized that we forgot to grab the remote.  Yep, you know what this means. We had to drive all the way back to Rexburg and then back to Pocatello (we are 3 hours into this by now).  Well when we got there we decided to reward ourselves to make us happy so we decided to upgrade a little bit (since we had a gift card for Costco anyways!) We are now happy with our purchase and hopefully won't ever have to do that again!

January 2011
School started! Yay! James is taking a full load of tough classes.  Me on the other hand, I am only taking 2 classes lol.  But I am working full time and so my days are long but worth it.  I have been working at the Plasma Center now for a month and now have stuck over 25 people. I still get a tad nervous but I am getting better!
