Da Bears...Bears, Da Bears...Bears

♫ Home Home on the Range, where the Deer and the Elk like to play!!!! ♫ Alright alright, i'll spare you.  Well this last weekend, in our last attempt to make the break off from school last, we joined up with the Starnes Clan (James' sister Stacie, and our nephews; Dallin, Parker and Landon) at the legendary... (doo doo doo doo)"Bear World"! And despite my previous judgements, meaning the ones I made driving past on the freeway and seeing ZERO animals, it was awesome!  The first part consisted of some deer, elk, turkeys and mountain goats.  Then, we entered the BEAR ZONE where 2 grizzlies and about a dozen black bears reside! It was all great and dandy and all but the best part was yet to come, the baby bears! After parking we were able to go see 3 little bear cubs playing around in their own little habitat area, and after a couple of goes on the "Carny Bear Rides" and a quick trip  to the petting zoo (yes, we pet goats and deer! I'm really excited abou this!) we got to PET the adorable baby bears! Now i can mark this off my bucket list. All in all we had a smashing good time!

And now for the moment you've all been waiting for, the pictures:

I was stoked to PET a deer

Once Upon A Time...

There once was a fair maiden with skin as white as snow {no no, I am NOT talking about Snow White} she lived in a far far away land that was as cold as snow {yes yes, Rexburg}.  Her and her Prince Charming went to the enchanting place known as DISNEYLAND!
Ok Ok, I'm done with the story being told in the 3rd person {you're welcome} We made our way down to Vegas and then Disneyland with my awesome mom.  We met up with my sis Paige and her family, then spent Wednesday and Thursday in Disneyland and California Adventure {along with about a million other people!} and were able to pretty much ride every ride we wanted to! Some personal favorites include; space mountain, california screamin', tower of terror, indiana jones and last but certainly not least the tiki room.  Well what can i say, every ride in Disneyland is just delightful.  And here is my next list, things i LOVE about Disneyland: $4.00 ice cream treats, Grizzly River on a hot hot day, little girls running around in princess dresses, little babies screaming when Disney characters step too close, stuffed animals and other toys of my favorite disney movies that i would die to be able to play with again, baby ducklings in the ponds, sunburns that turn my pigmentation from pasty white to fiery red, oh and did i mention the treats? The list could just go on and on. These adventures are short lived, but man don't they just make life fun!?

Picture Time!
King Arthur?

No No, this is the future King...Ok I'll be the Queen

In the Tiki Room, and oh so happy

Oh my, i just had to add a picture.  They are too cute!

You know EXACTLY why i added this picture from the tea cups

False Easter...

Holy Cow! It's taking me forever to figure out this whole blogging thing! I'm still learning but i'm having fun!
Update time:
James and I are officially retarded!  As many of you know, this last Sunday was General Conference, and we being the confused couple that we were, thought that it was EASTER! {good thing we have a calendar in our room that we don't look at!}  We didn't make this discovery until well into the day, after i had made an Easter basket for my hubby and we had already dyed hard boiled eggs {which i will be eating all of them by myself on account that Jamesies doesn't like them!}
But is there really anything wrong with getting/eating Easter chocolate early and twice?...
I think NOT!
Lessons learned: Easter ISN'T always the first Sunday of April and
 Always, ALWAYS check the calendar!
Luckily, we made sure to document this humorous accident

Rock Targhee Vaca

This last weekend we went to Grand Targhee Resort here in Idaho to go snowboarding with James' family.  Which i'll have to admit i was a little hesitant on the snowboarding part as it had been about 3 years since the last time! We drove up Monday morning and pretty much hit the slopes right away! I started to pick it back up pretty quickly.  Luckily i had a helmet because i ATE it about 4 or 5 times! Let me tell you, by this point i was feeling it! I improved a lot that day and started carving and everything...pretty awesome!
After shredding for the day, we went on a sleigh ride (with horses and everything!) to a little yurt, where we ate a steak dinner! (know that's what i'm talkin about) We were served by a nice college guy with shoulder length blonde hair, Led Zeplin shirt, mom jeans and snow boots and an older gentlemen who would sneak out of the yurt to get a smoke and a quick swig of alcohol, it was icing on the cake that made for a fascinating day!
